A Bite of Wight

November 21 @ 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

A fantastic day out on the Isle of Wight, for a full-on epic ride, loads of climbing, loads of great single track, some technical. This is a 35 miler with brief snack stops but no scheduled lunch break, there are no towns or villages once we leave Yarmouth so bring food and drink. There will hopefully be time for a pint at the end. It’s not for beginners, it’s a tough day out and technical in places but anyone who regularly climbs up and down the Purbecks should be fine.

TIMETABLE CHANGE. Meet at ferry terminal 0945 for the 1000 prompt sailing, I understand you must prebook your ticket, you may not be able to buy one if you just turn up! You need a foot passenger ticket £18.20 return. You can exchange Tesco clubcard vouchers for WightLink ferry tickets. Must be done in advance, allow time for the codes to come through, £6 in vouchers gets you £18 towards the ticket price. Park in Lymington outskirts, before you go over the level crossing, otherwise you’re left with the expensive ferry car park. Try Waterloo Road or Broomfield Lane.
Ferry leaves 1000 sharp and we will aim to return on the 1700 ferry back to Lymington, you’ll need a light for the short ride from the ferry to your vehicle. Call Neil if you need more info (07876 296125).
