Ride Calendar -

Dorset rough rider rides and social events will be posted on the calendar below, some of our rides are regular, and some are posted at short notice, so be sure to check back to see if new rides have been posted.

Lights are essential on evening rides, October to March, and may be required during April and September.

The Spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As a Club, the DRR needs to consider the latest guidance from the UK Government, PHE and NHS and also follow guidance from British Cycling and CyclingUK.

We have resumed group rides with a maximum of 6 (six) riders including the ride leader and these will be published on our members only Facebook page and/or in the Ride Calendar below. Please either book via Facebook Members only group or contact the number advertised on the ride calendar if you do not use Facebook or if you are a new member or someone who would like to get into group riding with us.

Please also still consider the Government guidelines when riding:

  • You should maintain a distance of at least two metres from anyone you meet from outside your household while out riding, stopping and waiting for people to pass at a safe distance when necessary. This is particularly important when riding on narrow paths and trails.
  • When cycling in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, you should follow the guidance and regulations issued by the relevant devolved administration.
  • If you are showing coronavirus symptoms, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, you should stay at home.

Riding bicycles off road can be a dangerous pastime. Dorset Rough Riders promotes safe and responsible cycling. Riders attending club rides do so at their own risk. Neither the club nor any of its members will be held responsible for any accidents or injury sustained on rides. Please ride within the limit of your fitness and ability. If you are unwilling to ride any part of the route, please dismount and walk through the section. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

HELMETS MUST BE WORN ON ALL RIDES
