The DRRt is a series of cross country challenges from one of the largest mountain bike clubs in the UK. The Dorset Rough Riders have been seeking out the best trails in Dorset and have come up with a series of 30+ mile waymarked routes which cover the best riding you’ll find in the area.

In 2017 we saw some great new options added to the DRRt to allow for more people to ride….so continuing on from 2017 the LITE versions of the DRRt are now permanently in place, so if you don’t feel you can manage the EPIC route, do the LITE which is approximately 2/3rds the distance!

Please also download and use the What3Words app on your telephones because we are now using this on the waymarked maps provided.

THE NEW YEARS REVOLUTION – 30th DECEMBER 2023

23 miles over three counties, this route combines public bridleways and byways over the Cranborne Chase area of outstanding natural beauty passing Roman landmarks, ancient drovers tracks and picturesque villages..

The HQ is at Sixpenny Handley Sports Pavilion where there is ample free parking, showers and the local Scout group offering bike washes for a donation.  The pavilion is also home to the Penny Tap real ale bar for after event drinks, along side hot drinks and cakes.

Sign in desks are open from 09.30 and we ask everyone to be away soon after 09.45. Please note that we have a group of sweepers, going out soon after the last rider to sign in, to take down the direction arrows and signs.
